The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children has bought 40 acres of land in Frisco where it plans to build a multimillion-dollar ambulatory care center.
The location is on the North East corner of the Dallas North Tollway at Lebanon Road continuing North right beside Frisco High School.
Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children specializes in pediatric orthopedics. They have been around for close to 100 years in Dallas and have made a great impact for children in need.
Scottish Rite is saying that close to 25 percent of the hospital’s patients come from the northern areas of Dallas, including Plano, Allen, Frisco and McKinney. So the addition of a branch in Frisco would make perfect sense.
The center will handle outpatient services and day surgeries, but patients will have to continue visiting the Dallas hospital for major surgeries and some other services.
A groundbreaking could come as early as this spring. Plans are for 10 acres as the hospital and the other 30 for sports fields and other elements to help the community. That should also bring 75 to 100 more jobs to Frisco as well.
Frisco just keeps getting better and better!
