The City of Frisco has plans for Fire Department number 8 at the corner of Independence and Rolater.

All three communities (Hunters Creek, Richwoods and Lawler Park) all will benefit more ways than one with the new Frisco Fire Station coming up next door. The 12.2 acre tract of land was acquired by the city in 2002 and originally had plans for a city park.

The increase in residential homes in the most recent months/years has made the city rethink what use this corner would benefit from.
